The Impact Data For Good has made in the Data-Driven World
Data For Good was born to help non-profits be exposed to the world of data. The Impact Data For Good has is due to an (often) lack of innovation and lack of data views in these non-profits, so we thought how do we expose them to the treatment of data science to your datasets and very often what we found when working especially at the start of Data For Good was as you might imagine everything was about fundraising so how do we maximize? How do we optimize ? Where do we market it best?
You might see that as a typical person and believe this is how they actually get all of their donations, when reality probably like 20% of the donations that they ended up getting, there’s institutional or corporate donations that some organizations will do like if you align with the corporate goals of somebody, they may give you a large gift but really the big chunky part of fun drives is quite literally huge donors.
That leads to most of the work the Data For Good did at the start was fundraising, we’re not fundraising per se, but helping optimize fundraising, so it’s kind of cool, but it’s like rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat, rinse and repeat.
Let’s cut through the jargon, myths and nebulous world of data, machine learning and AI. Each week we’ll be unpacking topics related to the world of data and AI with the awarding winning founders of 1000ML. Whether you’re in the data world already or looking to learn more about it, this podcast is for you.
